This was an outfit I wore in Santa Monica while shopping at Third Street Promenade.  When I travel, I like to plan out my outfits.  This was an easy and comfortable outfit and I always like to add a touch of color within my accessories.

We stayed at Shutters on the Beach in Santa Monica for part of our trip.  Not only gorgeous, it was peaceful, relaxing, and a real treat.  I would love to go back when it is warmer to enjoy the beach and the pool.

This year has passed by quickly and I have so much to be thankful for.  

• For my wonderful family who loves, listens, and supports me.  And I am lucky to work with everyday for t+j Designs
• For my loving husband who deals with me everyday.  From my mood swings to taking my blog photos, he lovingly supports me in every way.
• For my extensive family in-laws - it is wonderful to live so close to family and celebrate special occasions together
• For my friends who listen and guide me.  I am forever appreciative.
• For this new baby whom we'll meet in May.  It has been a journey trying to get here and I look forward to meeting him/her.

I had a wonderful weekend in LA celebrating my birthday.  My days were filled with lots of food, some shopping and spending time with friends and family.  I wore this outfit while shopping in Beverly Hills; my feet were a bit tired at the end of the day, but I can't seem to get myself to wear flats when wearing a nice outfit :).  We had lunch at Villa Blanca, if you an avid Real Housewives of Beverly Hills fan you'll know this is Lisa Vanderpump's restaurant.  The inside was beautiful and we did happen to sit closely to Lisa and her husband.  I had hoped for a Jiggy sighting but Jiggy was not available. 

Besides my birthday, I was celebrating another addition; I hadn't posted anything public until now, but my husband and I are expecting a little one in May.  Soooo, I am a little over 4 months pregnant.  I saw these pics and there is no hiding my tummy.  It wasn't until last week that I felt a bit heavier.  The months ahead will be interesting to see how I do outfit posts, how I feel, how I look, and my adventures with my first baby.  We are very excited (and a bit scared at the same time)!

My go to budget store is always Forever 21; I find great fits for my body type and the latest trends.  Mixing pieces from there with nicer pieces gives a great balance to your wardrobe and budget.  I visit there quite often and every time I'm there the floorset and product is different!  Many times my friends comment that they can't shop there, but with a careful eye and going there right when it opens, the experience can be a fun one.  I typically recommend tops or sweaters as the fit doesn't have to be perfect.    What's your experience with Forever 21?  Do you love it or hate it?

Birthday Wishes

Some of you mentioned loving my cobalt blue Zara dress in my Details Lookbook last week and this is the same dress but with a pretty perfect J. Crew plaid shirt.  I've been layering up and pulling out my heavier coats with our temperatures getting colder.   Still trying to figure out how to incorporate my lookbook in the winter time when it starts snowing, so if you have any advice feel free to share it!  

Birthday week has officially started and I'm still trying to figure out exactly what I'm wearing for my birthday dinner.  I'll be traveling to see some friends and I'm excited to get out of town next weekend.  Lots to share and look forward to it.

Black and Gold Glam Bracelet

I mixed some fun accessories with my simple outfit for a day out last weekend.  It was 60 degrees on Sunday and then today we actually had a little snow falling and it was in the 30's.  I was really hoping the 60 degree weather would at least stay for another month.  So these great Vince Camuto heels will have to be stowed away until next year.  I got them on sale about a month ago; great price, beautiful leopard pattern, and they look like Jimmy Choos.  My fun Chanel bag was purchased 4-5 years ago and it has been hiding in my closet.  I finally took it out to use last weekend and remembered how much I love the design and color.  

Happy Friday and weekend!  Next week is my birthday week so I'm looking forward to spending some time with friends, eating good food, and figuring out what to wear.

This has been one of my favorite outfits recently.  This neon pink Zara sweater was a great deal at $59.90 and the Pleather knit leggings were $38.  I've been on the search of leather leggings but didn't want to spend a ton; I found these in the TBD department of Nordstrom and thought they were a steal for $38. 

I wore this when I met up with the sweetest and cute blogger Lauren on Saturday morning and then spent the afternoon walking down State Street with my husband. A wonderful and beautiful day ending with dinner at Hot Chocolate Restaurant.
