Gucci Shoes | t+j Designs Mint Jeweled Necklace | Turquoise Bangle with Gold Details |
Last week I posted my love of mint and the love continues. An easy outfit for this gorgeous weather we are having in Chicago. Seriously, today is 70 degrees and typically in March we are dealing with snow or wind and the cold. It's amazing and I am loving it. I am officially looking like a pregnant lady these days but still trying to rock the heels. Countdown continues - 7 weeks to go. Been feeling a bit more tired, back hurts and nervous, but overall I feel good.
This mint necklace is one of my favorites from our new arrivals; if you've been on the search for the perfect mint piece, this is it.
Once again, thanks for all your kind comments and support for my blog and t+j Designs!
*I wasn't going to mention it, but decided to. . . blogging is an adventure and mostly positive. It amazes me when anonymous people post negative comments. 1) Why are you reading my blog if you don't love it and 2) does it make you feel better to write something negative? Life is too short to spread negativity.
It doesn't happen that often when something posts something mean, but I don't understand it. Such a waste of time and energy. Have you guys had this experience before?

Mint is such a cool color right?
ReplyDeleteI have only had one really mean, nasty comment. It was also anonymous. I actually know exactly who it was. It sucks to get negative comments, but you would think they at least have the audacity to show everyone who they are. That's why I disabled anonymous comments, not because I'm afraid to get them, but I feel that if you have mean things to say, at least show us who you are.
You look beautiful!!:D Love your necklace!!
ReplyDeleteStop by some time:D

ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry that you're getting negative comments - seen it on other blogs too.
I've fallen for mint too! And though I haven't worn any on the blog yet, cause spring won't be here until two more weeks and still a bit cold, I can't help but buy every little thing I find in mint! The shirt is adorable, and the necklace the perfect touch! ... Although the cutest thing here is your baby bump!

are people being mean again?! how rude! you are such a happy and positive person, i can`t imagine anyone saying anything negative to you! i know we talked on twitter about it before, but all we can do is just delete the comments and erase the negativity! don`t let it get you down hunny (=
ReplyDeleteon a happier note, this has to be one of my favorite looks on you lately. i LOVE that you are showing off your bump. and that shirt is so so cute! love the simplicity of this whole look!
xoxo hope to see you soon!
People leaving negative comments? I don't get the point either. I haven't had any on my blog yet....slightly scared too now. You look wonderful as always. The mint color looks amazing on your skin tone. This makes me want to try it since we have similar color.

Love the mint look! And I <3 the pop of turquoise - it's one of my favourite colours.
ReplyDeleteAs for the negativity - I haven't been blogging long enough to have many comments yet. But one thing I do know about online negativity is those individuals who post negative comments are obviously trolls and miserable in their own lives. They're so unhappy that they have to share their miserable attitude with the world. If I were you I wouldn't even allow anonymous comments - if they want to say something then they'll have to make themselves public. Too many people hide behind the anonymity of a computer screen - if they're going to be a jerk then they should show their face/name.
You look lovely and I absolutely agree: mint is the color of the moment! :-) xo, Christina

you look so gorgeous :-)))) <3
ReplyDeleteJen, you look terrific! I am actually hemming and hawing over that necklace and I am thinking it will be one of my first purchases after my lent ban...I love the way you put this whole outfit together because I think it can look equally chic if you aren't preggo. ;-)
ReplyDeleteAs far as the negative comments go, I've not gotten comments on my blog yet, but I have gotten emails from obviously spoofed email addresses that ask me silly things like do I own clothes that aren't red or why do I always pose the same way. I think people sometimes like to start controversy because it makes them feel important. Another thing is that we always seem to focus on the things that make us insecure. For example, I've caught myself thinking, "Gosh, that blogger's gained weight!" and then realizing that the blogger in question hasn't, but I have and I am projecting my own insecurities because I hope no one notices my shortcomings. I try not to spread the negativity and I would never actually leave a comment that would make me feel bad to receive. Sorry for the long winded message, I just want you to know that the anonymous comments aren't even about you, they are about the poster. If they meant for them to be constructive, they would send you an email and find a way to say the same thing in a kinder way.
Loving the pregnancy glow on you and love that I can finally see the full belly haha. You will be such a fantastic mother with your current feelings. Not to worry, it all works out.
ReplyDeleteAs for negative comments. I haven't gotten any, but people are just jealous and not motivated to do great things like you. The blogging world is hard and you're totally owning it every. single. day. So just keep your head up!
How pretty! Loving the mint! Love that necklace!!!!

I really like how laid back this outfit looks, but still very very chic. And I'm really digging mint at the moment too!
ReplyDeleteLove the mint! :) You look absolutely gorgeous. And yes, you keep rocking the heels! Haha! I'm going to keep trying too even though I'm feeling the same way as you. The back pain is definitely starting up as our bellies are getting bigger. We usually try to rub it in to my in-laws what kind of weather we're having down here, but you guys are having a nice, cool temperature there too that we can't now. Haha! :)
ReplyDeleteOh and before I had my fashion blog, it used to be a writing blog, so yeah, I have gotten anonymous hate comments before. Usually, it was because the topic I was writing about was a little controversial, so I understood. But people who write negative comments on fashion blogs are just jealous, I think. It's a form of self-expression, and if they have nothing nice to say or they don't like something, they should just press the "x" instead of belittling people.
Whoo. Long comment. I'm a little long-winded today. Lol! Take care!
Jen - you are seriously the hottest and best dressed pregnant gal ever! I love it... Also, I am loving this mint t+j necklace. I will have to go check it out!
ReplyDeleteAnd I haven't received any comments that made me cry yet. One came close. I agree with you that I don't understand people who take the time to visit your blog and then leave a comment with the intention of being mean. Adults are bullies too sometimes...
**BIG HUG**
BTW, I hope you consider joining in on my first "Trend of the Month Challenge" Link-Up. I'd love to see how you rock a little neon!
XO - Marion

ReplyDeleteLovely outfit! Are those jeans your pre-pregnancy size? Have u bought any maternity clothes? I'm just starting to show now but find maternity clothes absolutely hideous!
ReplyDeleteThis is actually the first time I've been able to tell you're pregnant, Jen. You look amazing! And I love that pretty green top. As for negative comments, I get very few -- it's the e-mails that are killer. The best thing you can do is delete, delete, delete and try to forget about them!
