An easy way to wear color and/or neon is with neutrals; and a way to mix it up is to pair it with neutral stripes.  This skirt has been in my wardrobe for a few years and is a great staple.  It must do well as they still sell this skirt online :).  Easily worn day to night, I can pair it with a tank and some sandals to a sequin top and some pumps.

Happy Memorial Day.  Taking the long weekend to relax and enjoy the gorgeous weather we are having in Chicago.  I wore this dress on Saturday when it was in the mid 70's; then on Sunday it hit the high 90's.  Summer weather is definitely here.  

To add to the enjoyable weekend, I headed out to do some quick shopping; just can't resist all the great sales going on.  Nordstrom has their half-yearly sale going on as well as pre-sale on designer goods.  We all know how much I love shoes and when I saw these I had to have them (and they are 40% off)

The love I feel for my little Grant is more than I could ever imagine.  He celebrated his one month yesterday and already I feel like time is flying and he is getting big too soon.  It took me a while to feel ready to have a child and now that I have him I can't image life without him.

Layering some mint and blue colored items to my summer basics (white denim and tank).  I'm an avid Zara shopper and love their merchandising, pricing and quality.  They are always on target with current trends and the price for their items are more affordable than contemporary designers.  I love this minty blazer and shoes (which I want in black and the pink color way).  I can't seem to go into the store without purchasing something

With the trend of colors for the season, I love layering jewelry my sister and I designed with my outfits.  These bamboo bangles in blue tones and neon tones are my favorites and I wear them almost everyday.  If you wear mostly neutrals, accessories are the best way to add color without feeling like your trendy head to toe.  Are you wearing a lot of colors these days?  

Today is my husband's birthday, he has been a wonderful support and it is amazing to see him as a dad. He also takes time out of his day to take my blog photos and I truly appreciate it.   Wishing my husband a very happy birthday and love you.

I've been eyeing these AG Stevie bottoms since this post and now after having the baby three weeks ago, I'm able to wear them out!  Wearing two of my favorite trends, neon and polka dots.  Polka dots are one of the prints that I consistently love and with the trend of printed denim I fell in love with these AG's the minute I saw them.  Since I'm still feeling a little bit bigger on top, this flowy top is perfect for me right now (and I'm a bit obsessed with neon apparel/accessories).

Blogiversary and my favorite looks

This week is my blogiversary!  I can't believe it has been a year and a wonderful one.  Blogging has increased my creativity, given me a chance to step out of my comfort zone and meet a ton of people in Chicago and many other cities, supported my jewelry business, and allowed me to share the best thing to ever happen to me, the birth of my son.  I look forward to continuing this journey of blogging and where it will take me.
