To belt or not to belt is the question?  In my first photo I'm belted, in the second photo I'm not.  My hubby liked me without the belt so it was removed for the outing.  This dress is actually a strapless number and I didn't want to wear a strapless bra so an easy fix was to wear a chambray shirt over the dress.   One of my best purchases this summer,  my shoes!  I've been wearing them everywhere all summer and love the comfort and the bronzy gold color.  

Since launching t+j Designs, I've been in love with gold and rose gold accessories.  Recently my hubby purchased me a gold rolex for my push present (a present for pushing out a child :) and BCBG sent me this beautiful rose gold Stud Link Watch I'm wearing in my post.  I, like everyone else, has a gold Michael Kors watch, but I love that I now have options to update my wrist with.

Recently wore this to our friend's rehearsal dinner in San Diego.  Found this fantastic skirt at Cusp and dressed up with some sparkles in my shoes and accessories.  Seeing these pics make me miss California already!  My wonderful parents flew down and took care of Grant while the hubby and I joined in on the festivities.  My parents were over the moon taking care of Grant; in the past month he has learned to smile, giggle and recognize people, it is pretty amazing.  

It is one of those weeks again where I've got a list of things to do and trying to balance being a mom and working.  I have part time help, but it is getting harder as he loves to interact with me at all times.  Since having Grant I seem to be forgetful and sometimes overwhelmed. A couple weeks ago I mentioned my obsession with the pleated mini, well I got this Forever 21 skirt as well as the Alice + Olivia one I've been coveting.  I love both of them for different reasons, but the Forever 21 skirt is a great budget piece for $23.  Asos would be the next place I would search for a great budget faux or real leather skirt and found these here and here I love.  

I'm not a stickler in following fashion rules, for instance I love mixing black and brown, gold and silver, and breaking the white rule (wearing it after labor day or before memorial day) and mixed my cognac bag with my black and white ensemble. I'm loving my Coach Legacy Penny Purse; I was in search of the perfect small cross body and this fits all my essentials.  They recently launched their Legacy collection; inspired by their archives, Coach has some fantastic pieces in a variety of colors.

Wearing my whites as much as I can before labor day.  I love my skinny white denim but I seem to always get food on me the minute I have a meal.  Good thing these denim are easy to wash.  One of my repeat outfits - a button down blouse, my white skinnies, and some heels.

Been working lots and recently went to San Diego and LA for a mini vacation.  So nice to get away.  This summer has flown by and enjoying every minute of it with my son and hubby.  Happy Friday and hope your enjoying the summer too.

My home - CS Interiors

I was very excited when CS Interiors ask to feature my home and the designers that made my living and dining room my favorite space.  The photo shoot was taken in month of two of baby taking over our lives, so although it looks perfect in the shots, our daily lives are now trying to cover our furniture and full of baby stuff everywhere.

Look #2 with my Joseph stripe top - I got these AE boyfit jeans a while ago, the fit and price are perfect.  A great weekend look and easy to wear, a pair of boyfriends and a stripe knit.  It cooled down a bit in Chicago and was a bit windy last week so I paired the ensemble with a recent Zara camo jacket.

What's great about a stripe top is it pairs well with most prints; leopard, floral, camouflage.  I like that it brings a touch of preppy against a tougher or busier print.  This is a definite repeat outfit for me.

This Joseph stripe top I'm wearing is one of my favorites;  I thought I would show how versatile it is  with different outfit posts this week.  This first look is a bit on the Christmas side with the red and the green, but I like it mixed with the navy and blue stripes.  The skirt reminds me of Kate Spade, but more affordable and made by a fellow blogger, don't you love it? (check out her collection here).

This week has been full of activities:  I was introduced to NYDJ and their fall collection.  They had a variety  of beautiful denim in different colors, prints, and fits.  The best thing about NYDJ - their special lift and tuck technology designed to make you look and feel smaller.  I got a pair of black denim and the stretch and feel of them are awesome.

Tiffany and Co. is celebrating it's 175th anniversary and I was invited to preview some jewels.  What girl doesn't love champagne & jewelry at Tiffany's?  I viewed an engagement ring over 5 carats that was retailing over $400,000, wow was it stunning (both the price and the ring). 

My sister and I celebrated our one year anniversary since launching t+j Designs.  It has been an amazing year and I look forward to growing more.  Without my readers and customers I wouldn't be able to do what I love.  I can't thank you enough for your support.

An easy black and white outfit with items you've seen me wear.  These days I am struggling with balance - work, life, being a mom, wife and friend.  I try hard to give everything I do 110% and some weeks are harder than some and this was one of them.  Blogging is a great outlet for me; I love styling clothes and accessories and my readers are so encouraging with comments but sometimes it's a bit harder to get motivated.  My lists grow longer and I always manage to get everything done, but my time to relax gets sacrificed.  I'm working on balance, enjoying my family time as much as possible, and hopefully having less meltdowns :).

Yesterday was my little one's first day at daycare.  I was a bit sad all day.  The peace and quite to do work seemed strange and I missed him.  Overall, I think it will be great for him socially and it is only 2 days a week, but it was the first time I've been away from him this long.  Who would have known I'd be a sappy mommy.
