Last night was my Escada event on Oak Street.  It was fabulous and I was so touched by how many people came out to support and meet me.  I'll be honest - I was a bit nervous about the attendance, how the event was going to be and with the whirlwind of the holidays I felt a bit tired.  The event turned out more than fantastic!  I meet many readers who were so supportive and kind and people I've met in the 1.5 years of blogging came out to support me and shop the fabulous Escada store.  I am so appreciative and thankful.  What a wonderful year 2012 has been.

I can't believe how fast this year went by.  Christmas was a memorable one with Grant and family.  I'm so appreciative of all the wonderful things this year and look forward to hosting my event at Escada tomorrow.  I'm loving all the items Escada loaned me to style on this blog.  The reversible coat is luxe and Escada makes sure to use goat/sheep which are animals used for other purposes. The black dress has black leather braided details that are just amazing.  Don't forget to RSVP to jen@redsolesandredwine.com for the 12/27 event on Oak Street.

The holidays are my favorite time of year, the lights, atmosphere, decorations, gifts, yummy food, and a time to relax with family.  It is always the best way to celebrate the end of the year.  It's my little one's first Christmas so it is definitely a special one this year.

I love, love this dress.  The only place to find it is here, I purchased off Shopbop but its sold out everywhere (I literally searched everywhere!)  The jersey fabric makes it easy to wear and the print makes it a special piece.Which layering piece and bag do you like paired with the dress (sweater or leather, Chanel vs Celine)?

Been eyeing Clover Canyon for a while and when Shopbop had their F&F sale I got this dress.  I think the colors are perfect for spring/summer, but I pulled it out to wear the other day since it's hard for me to stare at new items for that long.  The designer makes fantastic prints and when you see a Clover Canyon item you know it's theirs.  Surprisingly our weather in Chicago isn't too cold yet, I'm ok with 40 degree weather and am not looking forward to snow storms or zero degree weather.  

I'm a bit in disbelief on how quickly this month went by, but especially of the news last week.  I am cherishing time with my husband and my little one Grant.  If you follow me on instagram (redsolesandredwine), I shared this lovely moment:

This is my son's first Christmas and Santa moment.  He smiled and tried to pull Santa's fur.  Priceless.  I've been hugging and kissing him like crazy.

Gold Pave Bow Crystal Earrings

This month has been a crazy one with travels to China than last weekend to New York.  I haven't been able to post on my blog as much as I would like, but I'm back on track this week!  Yesterday I read my sister's post and it was one of my favorite posts ever; it explains the many stresses but joys of being an entrepreneur, check it out here.   In the year and a half of starting my jewelry line with her, I started my style blog and became a mommy.   There are days I feel overwhelmed and just plain terrible at everything, but then I have those days that are amazing.  Watching my son giggle and smile, seeing my business grow tremendously this year, and having the support of my readers of this blog, it is all amazing and I am so appreciative.  Thank you.

On a lighter front, this outfit is a bit of colored prep.  I'm sure you've noticed my love of the color red, but it really is so versatile.  A jacket, a pair of shoes, and some gloves; they all mix and match with most things especially the color blue.  Are there colors in your closet that you love?
