Furry Maternity Style - 38 weeks

It has been a while since I've shown my belly and I'm finally in the home stretch of pregnancy.  This time around I could not keep up with style posts, working, everyday life, and this cold, cold Chicago weather so unfortunately blogging was put on hold.  I am excited to get back into it; we are settled into our new home and these set of photos were taken in my living room!  Beats standing in 9 degree weather and snow :).

I am scheduled to deliver this little boy next week and although I am very excited I am nervous.  . .

C/Fan Coat (sim here and here)
Alice + Olivia Sweater, old (sim here and here)
Schutz Booties (sim on sale)

Even though I've done this before, childbirth is the scariest thing to me and the first few weeks are a bit tough.  And I'm a bit scared about handling Grant and a new baby.  I put tremendous pressure on myself to be a great mom, and wife, continue working and although I know it should be last on my list, I do want to be fit and back to my old self.  I'm still learning to take it slow and to enjoy it all.  I am excited, scared, happy yet stressed all at the same time.  My next post will most likely be sharing my little one!  So strange to think in one week we will go from a family of three to a family of four.

Thanks for all your love, support and following along.  xoxo

  6. I am, of course, neither a mother nor anyway experienced, but I somehow think you should not put yourself last, as you said you feel you should do.
You do not only have to look after the people around you, but also after yourself.
I hope it doesn't sound too strange what I'm trying to say :| Anyway, I wish you all the best for the next weeks!

  8. Looking very glamorous! It will be challenge. I was so scared with my two kids. My son and daughter are 3 years apart, and it was hard staying home, juggling a newborn and toddler the first few months/years. It was always their needs first for the last 10 years. Now both are in school full-time, I'm just starting to do more and get back to doing things I want to.

I understand what you mean by putting tremendous pressure on yourself to be a great mom and wife, and continuing to work. In reality, you'll do the best you can, and it's good to tell yourself "it's ok." Because some moms can feel bad/failure/guilty etc if they're not able to live up to their own or other expectations (not directed at you, but it is for some). Anyway, 当您看见这信息时,幸运已降临到你头上,财神已进了您家门,荣华富贵已离您不远。祝福您朋友:新年快乐! Happy Chinese New Year!
