Mother’s Day!

This year, I surprised my Mom with a visit home to Seattle for Mother’s Day. It was a lovely weekend relaxing, eating, and catching up with my family. Two of our favorite hobbies are eating and shopping, which is why I started this blog! My fashion inspiration has always been my mom, she has taught me how to develop my own sense of self and style. My love of fashion inspired me to pursue it as my career and I have been very lucky to have worked and lived in San Francisco and New York in retail! As you read my blog, you’ll learn more about me and about my love of food and fashion.

To celebrate my mom, my sister recommended a delicious brunch at Lola’s. I found the handmade donuts and my eggs benedict to be tasty however be warned that brunch is kind of pricey. The selection of brunch items all sounded delicious however most items are above $14. If you’re looking for a nicer brunch place in a great location, Lola’s is the place.

My beautiful sister & mom sitting next to me. I love how each of us has our own personal style.

My gift to my mom, I bought this crystal long necklace from a local store in Chicago. She has it on in the previous picture.

After brunch, we took a stroll down to the Pike Place Market. What I love and miss about Seattle is the beautiful scenery, the water, the fresh air, and the fresh seafood; taking a stroll through the market with my family, made me feel sentimental and miss living there. For those who haven’t been to Seattle, visit in the summertime! You will fall in love with the beauty of Seattle and how friendly everyone is.

My sister, who has a successful blog, I Am Style-ish, took beautiful pictures of our family at brunch and at the market.

I am all about color right now! Living in Chicago with the long winter, I was so excited for Spring to come and of course the minute the sun and warmth came out, my spring/summer fashions were pulled right out. Happy spring fashions!

What I’m wearing:

Jacket: Tommy Hilfiger, spring of 2010

Top/Skirt: Zara, spring/summer 2011, currently in store

Necklace: Vintage Kramer

I'm glad to have found your blog through your sister!I just moved to Seattle 1.5 years ago, and I'm originally from the Mid West! Chicago was the big city of our area so I'd spend time there every other month. It's so fun to see your Chicago food posts! I miss it a lot. :)Have a great Friday! -Steph
