Tuesday: Black and White Lookbook

Black and white separates are essential to every closet and a way to wear black and white in the spring time  is making sure it is a lightweight material.  Silk, rayon, jersey, and cotton are great weights for spring and summer and ensure that you don’t look like your wearing winter gear in the wrong season.

What I’m wearing:

Black Blazer – Armani Exchange

White Silk Top – purchased from Intermix

Black and White Striped Skirt – Pleasure Doing Business

Necklace & Purse – Forever 21

Red Patent Shoes – Christian Louboutin

Still working on our photography skills 🙂 and hopefully I can get a handle on photoshop one of these days.

Where to find my look:

Nordstrom Frenchi Black Blazer

A black blazer is a must have in every closet, it pairs well with a plain tank and jeans, any dress, and a great layering piece in the summer time in case it gets cooler at night.  Loving this 3/4 sleeve blazer that is only $54, simple and chic.

Vince Washed Silk Tank

This top is so versatile that it can be worn with leggings, jeans, skirts, and shorts.  A white silk tank is another must have in the closet for spring and summer.  Layer it with a bright color sweater or jacket.  If you are into accessorizing with jewelry, this is the perfect top to wear with chunky jewelry or colored stones.

Pleasure Doing Business Red & Navy Skirt

They are sold out of my black and white Pleasure Doing Business Skirt, here are two that I think are similar and great for your wardrobe.  I love these skirts, they suck you in like spanx!

Christian Louboutin Rolando Red Patent Shoe

If you have the budget, I love Louboutin shoes (as you can tell from my website name).  I bought my pumps from Bergdorf Goodman a couple of years ago, but I also love this Rolando pumps which they typically offer in a variety of colors.

Pour la Victoire Red Irina Pump

I have three pairs of Pour la Victoire Irina Pumps and love them.  Usually around $245, it is hard to find shoes around the mid range price point that are quality and look like designer shoes.  I find them very similar to Brian Atwoods or YSL pumps.  If you love platforms these are fantastic and can be worn year around.  The red Irina pump is on sale right now for $179.99!  Other brands such as Steve Madden and Jessica Simpson sell similar pumps at a lower price point, however I can’t vouch for the comfort level.

Happy Tuesday and feel free to ask me any questions or let me know what you think!
