Finally downloaded my photos from Labor Day weekend and thought I would share a little bit of what we did in the lovely city of Chicago. A little shopping, some delicious chicken sandwiches, and a bit of Cubs were in the mix. We headed to Michigan Avenue and our first stop was one of my favorite fast food places, Chick-fil-A! Since it has opened this summer I’ve gone three times, not exactly diet friendly food, but it is so delicious I can’t avoid it when I’m on Michigan Avenue. We did a little bit of shopping, but I’m saving my energy for the Topshop shopping preview tomorrow!
Saturday we spend the day at the Cubs game and as you see, I dressed casually to support the team! I am not a huge sports fan, but I’ve got to say going to a Cubs game is something anyone visiting or living in Chicago has to do. The stadium is the perfect size; you can see from any seat and it’s smaller than the new fields, and the fans here are dedicated. After downing a hot dog, nachos and a beer I wasn’t feeling too well, but you can’t go to a game without eating the food.
I’ve come across some fantastic blogs through my comments and excited to have some new followers! Blogging has been such a great way to stay creative and meet friends everywhere. Thanks for the support and lovely comments. By the way, if you are on twitter, connect with me, I love keeping up to date with peeps daily.
A final share of my weekend, my living room needed artwork and I took the plunge and did my first piece. Taking in colors from our home, I just gave it a go. I love it! I’m sure not the most artistic but makes me happy when I see it.
