Baby Grant’s Nursery

I’m finally sharing some photos of Grant’s nursery; it isn’t completely done as I want the walls to have more pictures and his bookcases to be more full, but I wanted to share the progress so far.

My cutie at 12 days – I’m going to try to document him every month in his wingback chair.

As my son was born in the year of the Dragon – my husband has been adding these dragon touches in the room.  He wanted to get a large hanging dragon, we comprised and he got this one.

This is the DIY dresser we did!

Details of the room: painting I did in an Ikea frame, old wingback chair I got off craiglists and had reupholstered and legs painted, a beautiful quilt from my brother in laws mom, Ikea shelves with an assortment of books, little animals and shoes.

Where I got the big items:

Crib:  Babyletto Crib in white
Rug:  Chevron Rug
Striped Curtains:  Custom made from Etsy Seller (loved her!)
Love Print:  Made by Girl
Various Frames:  Ikea and Target
Shelves:  Ikea
Black Dresser:  From my DIY post here

If you have any questions, please feel free to email me.  We really didn’t spend too much on the nursery and I love it!  I wanted a room that he could grow into but also just a pretty room.  It is also easily changeable if we ever make into an office or guest bedroom or another kids room.

Here’s the inspiration behind my baby’s room (but a girls room):

How do you think it turned out?
