Mark Shale: 9 to 5 chic

Mark Shale is a Chicago based retailer with high end contemporary pieces that are perfect day to night. I’m hosting an event there next Thursday, July 12th from 5-7pm.  If your in Chicago, please come on by for some summer styling, shopping, and drinks!!

I stopped in last week to pick out pieces to show my readers.  I had fun trying on different looks showcasing different styles depending on your 9 to 5 work environment and lifestyle.

Look #1:  For those in a business casual environment, I’m loving this ensemble!  The touch of leather patches (where the orange is) makes it fashionable yet conservative enough for a corporate environment.

Raoul colorblock leather dress in pumpkin & khaki

Fahrenheit NY grafiti cuff with crystals

Dana Reed lucky 13 necklace

Look #2:  For those  of you who are a bit trendier, love a bold print and want something day to night, this is a perfect sheath dress by Samantha Sung Stella.  Paired with Brochu Walker white blazer, you can coverup in the office and still look put together.  The clutch is perfect for night and can slip into your day bag if your going out from work.

Samantha Sung Stella violet dress

Brochu Walker cutaway linen blazer

R&Y Augosti charcoal python clutch

Dana Reed teardrop earrings

Look #3:  This is probably one of my favorite outfits.  In my previous work environment we didn’t have a dress code, so this would have been perfect.  The perfect white cropped denim, with a touch of sequins, and a leather vest.  The plus side. .. if your going to happy hour afterwards, just take off the vest and you’ve got a a sexier look with the sequin tank.

Brochu Walker sequin tank

Kushi cobblestone leather vest

Joe’s Jenny jean

Miriam salat starlet resin bangle in grey, and clear basic resin bangle

R&Y Augosti charcoal python clutch

Look #3:  For those in a more corporate environment, I mixed the sequin tank with the white blazer from look #2 and paired it with a pair of red Theory pants.  A bit of preppy glamour .

Brochu Walker sequin tank

Brochu Walker cutaway linen blazer

Theory Yanette cropped pants

Jules Bijoux gold bangle with Swarovski crystals

Look #5:  I put together a preppy casual outfit for those of you who don’t love sequins during the day.  Not only is this a great preppy look, but definitely weekend wear since it is so comfy.  Don’t you love the bag – for beach or a summer bag to tote all your work items?

Theory Lanai pinstripe blazer

Cacharel knit polo

CURRENT/ELLIOTT pindot stiletto jean

Graf & Lanz large boat canvas tote

If your loving any of these pieces, check out Mark Shale’s website or call 312.440.0720 to inquire about them!  And of course come to the event on Thursday to meet me and have a styling session.

Hi Jen, love the sheath dress! Too bad, I can't come. My sisters are going to Chicago (within this month), I don't remember the exact date but too bad they're more into food than fashion. I would love to visit Chicago again! It's my favorite American city. I love it more than LA and NYC. xo Johttp://whiterosesandcoffee.blogspot.ca/

Love the stylish 9-5 looks! I love how each outfit is so uniquely different but all appropriate for office wear. I totally wish I could pull off a sequined top for the office but I don't have the guts!
