My first post since post baby! It seems like it’s been forever since I’ve blogged and felt good about doing a style post. Being pregnant this time around, I lacked motivation to post not only because I felt large, but I was exhausted and this winter in Chicago has been a rough one. With it snowing constantly the last thing I wanted to do was go outside with my growing belly to take photos of what I wore.
Overall I gained 25 pounds and I still have 15 pounds to lose in order to get back to my original weight, but I’m taking it slow, resting, and enjoying baby Gavin. The pics are deceiving as I do still have my weight on, but layers and knowing how to dress helps me hide my leftover weight/bump.
If you don’t follow me on instagram, there are glimpses of Gavin at the end of this post :).
He was born on 1.29 at 7 lbs and 5 oz and so far is a fantastic baby. Grant has adapted so well to Gavin and loves to say “brother”. It really is amazing that in a span of a week, we went from a family of 3 to 4.

A year ago I was in NY for fashion week and this year I’m in a new home with a new baby boy. It is amazing how life can change so quickly. I honestly look sane because I have a great support system. I’ve had family here to help; my parents, my husband, and my mother in law who has been fantastic. Without them I would be a mess and a half.
Here’s a glimpse of my little nugget:
I booked a photoshoot of my Gavin with Carrianne Photography; she did such a wonderful job with Grant’s pictures which I posted here, that I booked her again for Gavin.
More pics to come! Hope your staying warm.
You look amazing Jen…I love those jeans! Gavin is precious π
Twenty five pounds? Girl, don't beat yourself up. I gained 80. Yes, that's what I said. Eighty! It took me the better part of a year to get rid of it and I pretty much hated myself the whole time. But that's all in the past and I have a terrific daughter who is now a teen-ager. I hated being pregnant (which is why I only did it once) but I have loved being a mother. You look amazing. Truly!
Congratulations Jen!!! You look incredible and your son is gorgeous! Enjoy this time with him and take in every moment!Meredithcreatethatoutfit.com
