Come to the Splash Magazine event Tuesday, 4/8! Details here, I’ll have some t+j jewels for sale and lots of Chicago designers/boutiques will be there. Shop for a good cause.
These days wearing things on repeat but mixed different ways is happening more often than usual in my closet. Why? Two things – tax season (boy was this a rough one) and transitioning weather. Since I do take pictures of what I wear I feel pressure to have something new on the blog all the time . . .

I often show things on the blog mixed up in different ways. I read many style blogs and I don’t know how they have the budget to wear something new 4 times a week. Blogging/styling should be fun, fashionable, but practical. I get asked often whether or not blogging is helpful income and I’m honest about it. My full time job of being owner/designer of t+j Designs is where my income comes from. Blogging is a part of my business in which I show my love of fashion and jewelry, but I certainly don’t earn enough from blogging to live life. There are many perks to it, my favorite – the events and spending time with friends I’ve met through blogging, but in my particular experience blogging does not pay the bills and a Chanel bag :).
If your a blogger, do you feel pressure to wear something new every time you post?
I totally agree with you – 99% of my clothes are from pre-baby days. And whatever I buy are from TJ Maxx, Ross, Target or Marshalls. Anyway, love your jacket. It's stunning.
Great post! I do sometimes feel the pressure to wear something new every post, but at the same time, like you said, that simply isn't practical! So I try to stick to basics, and remix them as much as possible. Loooove that skirt on you! I've been eyeing BB Dakota's Spring collection since it came out. So many good items in there!Bold Subtlety
I get my favorite items that I wear over and over. Lately for me, it's been a denim jacket. I also have a pair of black J Brand Jeans that I wear at least once a week during winter.http://kacieskloset.blogspot.com/
