To most people, July 4th is a celebration of independence and being with family at cook outs or watching the fireworks. For my husband and I, it was the day we got married five years ago. 50 of our closest family and friends joined us in Riveria Maya, Mexico for a week long marriage celebration. It was a wonderful way to start our life together.
Happy 5th Anniversary to my dear husband. How time flies.
Today, we will be relaxing without the kids (thanks to my in laws) and just spending time as a couple. Marriage is a journey and I’ve definitely learned a lot about myself, my husband and seen how a partner can change your life. Where I am now as a mommy, entrepreneur, blogger, wife, and friend is due to my partnership with my husband. His love and support is beyond appreciated.
Thought I would also share two pictures of when we first started dating :). Time really does fly – overall we have been together 8 years.
Our first trip to Tahoe
Attending a friend’s wedding as Mark’s date.
If your still single – remember, you’ll never know where you’ll meet someone. I met him at a dive bar that my friend dragged me to!
Happy 4th everyone!
