Cozy Sweater and OTK Boots

This outfit has all of my favorite things for fall; layered, cozy and still fashionable.  Besides the cross body bag, each piece is a budget find!

Our weather in Chicago drastically changed from the 70’s to the high 40’s.  Pulling out my coats, sweaters and putting away my summer dresses, I couldn’t believe we are almost in November.  As it gets colder, the more I layer and I hope the snow stays away for at least a couple more weeks.  I love fall and dread the cold winter.

In reviewing my closet, I find myself grabbing for this sweater whenever I head out.  The pattern is great but overall it just feels so cozy and pairs with a tank top or tee shirt easily.  Wear it with denim, boyfriend denim, or dress up with leather leggings or this faux leather skirt, it goes from casual to a bit more dressed up depending on the bottom you choose or the jewelry.  If it gets a bit chiller a faux fur vest over the sweater is another favorite styling trick.  If statement jewelry is not your style but you do want something you can wear day to night (that doesn’t look like a pendant on a chain).  This necklace I’m wearing in this post is my recent favorite piece.  Black and white with details of pave and pearls, it doesn’t make too big of a statement but it is pretty and gives the perfect finishing touch to any outfit.

Happy Halloween and hope you get lots of treats!  I’m taking my boys out tonight, Grant has recently discovered his love of candy so we’ve been trying to limit what he has:).
