This weekend was full of fun. A kids concert with my son Grant, my birthday dinner with some friends and a little bit of snow flurries on Sunday. I’ve been feeling under the weather with a cold; my husband has been great at waking up with the kids early to let me sleep in and get better. Officially my birthday is this Wednesday, and I’m having more dinners this week. With all the rest I got this weekend, I’m excited for all the festivities to come.
This year definitely flew by! I can’t believe I’m turning a year older and Thanksgiving is next week. This past year has been one of the best. I’ve met a group of girl friends I love to going out with (which is hard to do when you move to city you aren’t from), I feel more at home in Chicago, family time is the best time, and my business is going well with our most recent press being in the December gift issue of Oprah. Although it is tough for me to get a year older and I know it is only a number, life is great and I look forward to the adventures to come.
Regarding this beautiful pink sweater, I love pastel colors in the winter time. It helps brighten up my mood in the dreary cold weather. The necklace I wore here is one of my favorites and dresses well through all seasons. Mint and blue stones are some of our customer’s favorites. We are getting our site ready for all the crazy T-day shoppers and this week only we are offering a slew of items for $10 and $20 (these are fantastic items at a steal). The items make great gifts or pick up something for yourself :). Check it out here.
Happy week and thanks for reading!
