Feathers and Leopard

I have a thing for feathers and when my dry cleaner ruined my white feather jacket that I absolutely adored, I took the leap and got the black one.  It is a definite splurge, but a black blazer is a must in any closet but one with feathers is even better.

I had a moment with my closet this past weekend and realized I needed more classic pieces; basic sweaters, more neutrals, and things I could wear with everything.  I love prints, colors, and trims but in the past couple of years of blogging I forgot to invest in classic apparel. But this feather blazer stood out to me as a very “me” item but a great twist on a classic.  After cleaning my closet and seeing this blazer I than wore it twice in a week.  I’m now on the search of some more neutral items (on sale hopefully) so maybe you’ll see me in more neutrals going forward :).
