Chicago: Top 5 spots to eat at, Breakfast at Tiffany’s & Presidio event on 9/23

The Tiffany’s in Chicago got a facelift and a bunch of us were invited to view the store and try on some jewels.  Man, I had so much fun I didn’t want to leave.  Breakfast, mimosas and diamonds – aren’t these three on your list for a Wednesday?

Beyond stunning!  They are even prettier in person.

#1 The hubby and I were invited to The Hampton Social to dine and we both loved it.  The atmosphere is open, white, and obviously Hamptons inspired.  The decor was so cute!

The seafood tower was on our agenda because my husband and I love a good tower.  Ceviche was to die for, the tuna delicious with the watermelon mixed in and the shrimp was huge and yummy!

The lobster roll was next and I got to say the fries won us over.  My husband actually shouted in enjoyment, “These are the best fries I’ve ever had!”  Other tasty items, lobster deviled eggs, a sea bass special and some tasty drinks.  I loved the place and will definitely be back.  I didn’t get a chance to eat enough of their lobster specials or their pizza.  Check out their menu here.

#2 Looking for a great brunch spot – the Soho house has the best benedict and the avocado toast is my favorite.  Check out all their restaurants here.

#3  Honey Butter Chicken is definitely the best chicken I’ve had so far in the city.  Crispy, not too thick of a coating, and moist.  My whole family loved it.  You can check out my little one’s fingers diving in.  The sides were tasty too especially the macaroni and cheese.  Just looking at this I want to go back for me.

#4 My favorite hip Japanese spot is Momotaro.  The sushi is fresh and so delicious and the cooked food is also tremendously good.  They do both well.  If I’m headed there for date night, or a huge group I would go here for it.  It’s hip, pretty, delish however watch your wallet.  It is spendy.

#5 Presidio is a smaller place but big on taste and decor.  I love that this is in my neighborhood of Bucktown and it brings a new life to our area.  Since I lived in San Francisco for over 8 years, I love this spot.  The restaurant is inspired by food in SF.

If you haven’t been to it and live in Chicago you should!  My company, t+j Designs is partnering with Presidio on a special pop up.  Come by on 9/23 to enjoy special bites, drinks and shop!  I’m clearing out some merchandise and things will be as low as $5 and everything is $30 and under.
