Akola Project reached out to me to wear a piece of their jewelry and honestly, I typically delete all emails regarding jewelry because I design and sell my own. But the details of how they give back to Uganda and Dallas women and create jobs to empower them was something I had to share.

They have a ton of necklaces to choose from and since Mother’s Day is approaching what better way than to give a great gift that also benefits other women in need.
One of my favorite pages on the site was meeting the women they have helped. Check it out here. These women create these beautiful pieces and are able to change their life.
And if you have more than one mom to gift or need a little something for yourself as well, I just launched these jewelry gift sets that really are a steal. Take a look here.
My days have been busy planning my son’s birthday party, my husband’s birthday party, a HUGE travel plan to Costa Rica and to Northern California, working, blogging and trying to fulfill partnerships on my calendar. It has been a crazy spring already. I can’t even believe it’s past mid April and my son is turning 4. My how time flies. I have a lot I want to write and haven’t sat down to do it so let’s hoping next week I can share a bit more. For those of you that write me lovely notes that you do read what I write and wonder how I do it all, I don’t. Meltdowns occur every week! Especially lately, but more will be explained at a later date.
Take a look at Akola and let me know what you think.
I love this! I'm always a sucker for companies who give back in positive ways. So hearing about this makes me want to go buy some new jewelry. It's a gorgeous piece and I love how you styled it! xoxo,Danniewww.stilefotocibo.com
