How to throw a kick axx Kentucky Derby Party? Combine girlfriends, fashion, the yummiest food, and Stella Artois Cidre Beer and it becomes a fabulous party. I had so much fun getting together with my girlfriends and we dressed up Derby style (which by the way happens Saturday!). I’m sharing a ton of photos below. You don’t want to miss the action . . .
If you are wondering about what I wore, I did a full Kentucky Derby Post of my outfit earlier this week here.
I left earlier this week to embark on a business venture which I’ll write more about on Monday. So this was the perfect time to catch up with my girlfriends before I went to Silicon Valley. We enjoyed a fabulous time at Fig & Olive with the yummiest food and the best company in town. My girlfriends are amazing inside and out. Many of them own their own business, are moms, blog, and are just good people. They’ve been there to listen, to support, and to laugh with and I feel lucky that they are my friends. AND they came out just for fun to enjoy this lovely lunch with my to celebrate the Derby and Stella Artois Cidre during a work day!
I’m not a huge beer drinker but the Cidre was so easy to drink! Light, like apple cider, but not as sweet and honestly, perfect for a hot day.
The essentials for a Kentucky Derby Party for me? Lots of friends, dressing up in fab gowns and hats, yummy food, great conversation, of course watching the Derby (but really I am just looking at what everyone is wearing 🙂 and delicious Stella. I really had the best time putting this party together. Any excuse to wear a big hat and a pink dress, drink and eat, I’m there!
