This wonderful trip to NYC happened in the beginning of November and I’m still thinking about it! To celebrate my birthday and to get away for a bit, 4 of my girlfriends jumped on a plane and headed to NYC with me. Talk about good friends and good times, it was amazing and I’m up for it again already.
Here’s a fun recap of where we went, what we wore and tips of getting some good ressies.
My good friend Jen arrived first and we got the morning to ourselves We’ve known each other for 18 years and she is absolutely one of my favorite people. She had to leave early to help another friend in need so we were sad to see her go the next day. She flew all the way from LA to NYC just to spend 24 hours with us. Yes, she is amazing.
Lot of eating ensued this whole trip (which if I showed photos of all the food this post would be forever long). First stop, was through Grand Central just to explore but we headed to Ess -a -Bagel for my favorite bagel sandwich. And yes, I went exploring without make up (shown in these two photos). You gotta to relax when on vacation right :)!
Lunch was at Sushi Yasuda. One of the best sushi restaurants in NY. Note: sit at the sushi bar and you have to call right at the two week timeline to get a good date/time for dinner. Lunch is a bit easier to get in. We munched and than headed to the London NYC hotel where we stayed. The rest of the girls meet up and we headed for a bit of shopping.
Santina: Call 30 days in advance to get a bigger group in.
The next day was a trip to my favorite department store for shopping and lunch.
With my chic ladies and yes, we walked around all day in our gear. The weather was perfection and we were always ready for a photo. Thanks to Helen for taking most of the photos with her awesome camera.
You can see my excitement and happiness being with my girlfriends.
These two photos perfectly explain how I feel about these girls. Joy, happiness, and pure love. Finding true friends who are there for you always is the best gift of all. My girlfriends are what have helped me get through some of my toughest times so I thank them for all their love and support. This trip was the best birthday.
More to come!
