Live Aqua Cancun in Style

I just came back from an amazing trip to Live Aqua Cancun.  White sand, 80 degree weather, gorgeous waters and pools, top notch service and the perfect get away for this busy mom.

I shared a lot on instagram but will spend the next two posts recapping the special spots, what I wore, and why your next trip should be here! This adult-only resort is luxe, beautiful, and magical.

We checked into our ocean view room and on my bed was this hand made rice Friends Forever art work!  Isn’t it amazing? Also there was a bottle of champagne and the nicest note.

The pool was amazing and where we hung out every single day.  We got cabanas everyday and the $65 splurge was well worth it.  The cabanas had a lovely bed, pillows and a 20 minute foot massage was included in each rental day.  Hello luxury!

The food – I’ll write more below but we loved a bite of sushi at the sushi bar every day for happy hour!

The beach and water was incredible.  The white sand was soft, warm and beautiful.  The turquoise waters were however a little rough due to the wind so unfortunately you couldn’t swim in the ocean during our stay.

This is Graciel – we met some wonderful staff who gave us the best treatment.  Unlimited drinks, friendly smiles, food at the cabana, booking of our cabanas, the list went on and on.

The full review below of Live Aqua Cancun:

Location:  Excellent – only 20-30 minutes from the airport

Transfers: I always use USA Transfers, this isn’t sponsored – I find it safe and reliable

Hotel look: I love the property, space and the pool really is incredible.  If you are a pool person, this is a perfect hotel for you.

Pool:  Absolutely book a cabana every day.  Book it the day before to get the best one

Food:  It’s an all inclusive with tons of choices and great food. I loved Hidden Garden (great exterior dining restaurant under the trees decor), Azul by the beach is fantastic for lunch for fresh seafood and the view, Siete is the best for breakfast and they make omelets and smoothies to order.  There’s so much selection for breakfast! MB is great for a romantic meal with the best jalapeno soup in a bread bowl and yummy steak, and because my lazy butt wanted to stay at the pool, I got lunch service there almost everyday.  The best thing: THEY WILL PRETTY MUCH BRING ANYTHING TO YOU. I asked for chicken fingers as it wasn’t on the menu and they made it and gave it to me at the pool!  Talk about service!!

Sushi bar is not a place you sit at but you get sushi to go and opens at 5pm – not too many choices but each roll was a pretty good snack for in between meals.  Another big plus:  24 hour room service!

Rooms: We stayed at the top floor, 9, had a beautiful view of the pool and ocean as seen above in the photos. Check in was easy and around 3pm.  We had two beds, which were soooo comfortable.  I’m not exaggerating when I say my back hurts all the time, but the beds here were heaven and I slept so well.

Other loves:  Great bands at night if you love live music, a fun crowd at the disco bar on the lobby floor, literally the friendliest staff everywhere, and the foot massage at the cabana were over the top wonderful.  If you are looking for spring break trip party town, this is not the hotel.  Although everyone, including the guest were friendly, it’s not a spring break foam party.  If you want to relax, there’s plenty of relaxing time. If you want to party with some guest, there are guests who want to party. But load pumping music, games, and parties are not what the hotel is about.

Things to know:  The hotel is a little pricier than some but it is well worth it.  The drinks aren’t too strong but quite good and frequently given to you.  We went during busy season so chairs at the pool may be a little harder to get if you don’t get cabanas but the staff is always around to help.  I didn’t try the gym or spa but did see people coming in and out of it everyday.

I would love to go back with the hubby.  We went 6 years ago and it was just as wonderful.

All in all the loveliest stay with my best friend (who will make an appearance in my next post and took a ton of my photos).  We will back!

Be sure to check out their site here (tons of great photos and videos if you want to check out more)
