A new luxury magazine + Taylor Kinney and a launch party = a fabulous time. Rema (my awesome photographer and social media associate for T&J Designs) joined me in meeting some red carpet stars including Taylor last week.
I wore this ruffle pink number {$98} and headed out into the pouring rain.

Rema and I were the brightest people there. It seems like black is the dress code these days but we like to switch it up with color 🙂
The food bar was yummy, the champagne was overflowing and they had amazing cars decorating Morgan Manufacturing. See a full review of the events, sponsors, and who came here on their site.
Our favorite part was meeting the wonderful stars of Hamilton, singer Lili K, and actor Taylor Kinney. See below for tidbits of what we spoke about.
Christopher was super sweet! He portrays Marquis de Lafayette in Hamilton and of course I tried to get tips on snagging tickets to Hamilton, but that was a no-go 🙂 but you know I had to try. I asked him how he got into acting and I loved his story. Four years ago in high school he was dared to try out for a play. From that one dare he started acting. From acting in school plays to four years later being in Hamilton, that’s pretty awesome. And shows, you gotta try things, you never know where you’ll end up!
I loved Lili K’s dress (of course my favorite color red). She was lovely and her most recent project was not only making and writing her own music for her next album, but she will be seen in Empire’s upcoming season making her first acting debut. B sure to check out Empire season 3.
Who’s this gorgeous guy? Well, he’s the cover star of ChicagoMOD Magazine. Taylor Kinney was extremely nice, sweet and patient. There was a line of people trying to take photos and talk to him and time after time he smiled and gave each person a hug or a handshake. I asked him about living in Chicago and he talked about his love of Chicago, the Cubs, and the food scene here. Sweet and handsome, a perfect combination.
Check out the first issue of ChicagoMOD for their detailed interview of him.
Thank you to ChicagoMOD for inviting Rema and I to the wonderful launch party and welcome to our beautiful city. I look forward to opening more pages of Chicago MOD.

I am so loving that fuchsia! And the off shoulder and ruffle details add more feminine touch to the outfit!Jessica | notjessfashion.com
