My boys recently turned 5 and 3 years old and are in the phase of wanting to sleep in the same room or with us. I love that they are close and the thought of them sharing a room had crossed our minds but we weren’t sure how they would do. When the opportunity came to partner with The RoomPlace, I jumped at the chance of redoing the larger bedroom into a shared room for them. I LOVED how it turned out and took photos of the finished bedroom(with my cuties in some of them). As you see, bribery of a lollipop (in their hands) was needed for these killer, sticky smiles.
The RoomPlace had the bunk bed I was looking for in all white with a safe easy walkup stair case. We had previously look around for one but most had a thin ladder which I didn’t like for my boys. The other thing is that my boys move around a lot in bed AND we learned as parents, having a full bed is a big PLUS when they are sick. The extra room on the side helps with cuddles and hugs that are needed when either of them are sick. So this full bunk bed was perfect. It’s harder to find the right full bunk bed out there at the right price. We love how sturdy this piece is and of course, it looks great in their black and white themed room.
We added a white dresser to the mix which looked great against the other wall.
The boys are in love with their new bed. This bigger piece was the real focal point of the room as their excitement of getting a bunk bed was what drove putting them in a room together.
And don’t worry, these lights are only on for when they first fall asleep. I always turn them off after. The sprinkling lights are a good nightlight as they’ve entered the space of being afraid of the dark.
The dresser was also great quality and heavy. I’ve purchased other “affordable” furniture and found that you couldn’t put too much in or the bottom fell out or the handles/sliding out of the drawers were difficult to deal with.
My two happy boys who picked out their own bedding!
Lollipops are their vice. They will do anything for a good lollipop. As a parent, we all know that bribery happens to get stuff done quickly. These photos took 10 minutes and went by so much easier with a little candy
The RoomPlace items:
Things to note, the furniture is high quality and sturdy which I find essential for kids furniture. You want it to last and not be lightweight. It’s also affordable and right now The RoomPlace is doing a Fourth of July sale! The service was wonderful, they came and built the pieces quickly and there were zero issues with delivery. On time (which is HUGE) and professional installation.
We LOVE how the room turned out and Thank The RoomPlace so much for partnering with us!
