What is the best way to transition from winter to spring and still look stylish? Here are four of my favorite outfits lately that help with the transition and tips on how to incorporate these pieces into your wardrobe!
All these items shown won’t break the bank and one dress shown below was so popular on my instagram that I’m sharing it here (plus you can wear it year around)
This top is only $18
My Favorite Hat | $10 Sunglasses | $5 Hoops
Similar patent skirt | Midi version
Super easy to layer a big coat for winter and I’m not a tights wearer but black tights with this outfit would be perfect to keep warm.
The bell sleeve top, a pair of skinny denim and sandals would make this an easy outfit for spring. The shirt itself is so cute you can easily wear it with casual bottoms.
This romper was my summer favorite that I decided to wear the other day. Layered with my lovely pink fur I was ready for a lunch date. I don’t mind showing my legs (even in the cold), but nude tights could easily be worn. This outfit is definitely a car to restaurant outfit and not one to walk around in right now unless you are in California :). But the romper is a great transitional piece (it also has long sleeves)
A good furry coat is a must have and looks great layered on top of anything. I tend to wear my faux fur pieces when I head out at night as it’s a great dressier outerwear when it’s cold.

This dress has the most stunning details for under $60! And I wore it for New Year’s Eve – yes, can you believe the price? It’s a stretchy material that has metal details. The material is quite light so you can wear it all year around. I was in LA so I didn’t layer with a coat, but a killer leather jacket would be perfect layered over this stunning dress. A little black dress with glam details.
Glam Little Black Dress for less than $60
Sandals I wear all the time on sale for $50
I know this isn’t the easiest dress to wear but it really fits well and it hides any arm or tummy issues- it is stretchy and the details exceed the price point. I bought a medium and I’m usually a size 4 and I’m 5’5″. It’s a great party dress and for those times you need something and don’t have it, this is the dress you need. Plus when you can find something that is less than $60 with these details?!
This is my go to sweater that is easy to layer with a big coat, but lightweight enough for spring. I love the grommet details on the back, which makes it more than a standard crew neck sweater. Easy to wear, fantastic color and great for work, I love how versatile and how often I’ve worn this number.
These days I’m trying to survive the cold, figure out how to maximize my wardrobe and maintain my no shopping January. And as you can see, finding steals for day to night are so much easier now with online shopping!
My biggest tip: buy 1-2 bottoms you love (I love denim) and just change out tops that are luxe looking but don’t spend a ton. Have at least one killer dress for special occasions and spend your money on two pairs of shoes you’ll always wear. For me that is black and nude pumps from Louboutin. The two staples are worn often day and night and I’ve had them for years. My favorites are the Pigalles – linked here.
Happy January and keep moving forward. Hello, Oprah, you said it all.
xx
I love love all the clothes. especially the grommet sweater. Do you know of any designers that offer a real xl size? I wear 16 size American. You have great taste!!!
