Happy Martin Luther King’s Day. “If you can’t fly, than run. If you can’t run, than walk. If you can’t walk, than crawl, but by all means, keep moving.” Martin Luther King

New Year. New Feels. New Chances. New Goals. New Style. New Starts.

Trying new things with my style and going back to wearing a bit more black (which is perfection as it’s winter and who doesn’t want to slim down the winter extra LBs).

I’ve been eyeing the pencil skirt faux leather (vinyl) trend and found this perfect one under $100.  I bought my standard size (4), paired it with an old top that I had and decided on all black for ease.

Other ways to style this lovely skirt? Pairing with a button down (perfect for work), a chunky sweater, a comfy tee, or a simple tank top with a cute jacket.

Think of the skirt as a classic pencil skirt with a trendy twist.

Many of you sent me the kindest notes after my New Year post and I just want to say thank you again.  As I go through this process, I’m still trying to decide what to share, what not to share, and what to write.  Putting feelings to words on here is hard for me so just know that your kind thoughts are well appreciated and I’m doing well.

I feel a wide variety of emotions daily, weekly and monthly.  But while I heal, the things I love have not changed so I’ll continue to share fashion, food, fun and friends.

xoxo
