What home means to me with Two West Delaware.
Looking for a new home has been on my agenda this past month as my current home is in the process of closing. When Two West Delaware offered me a night stay to try out their properties, I jumped at the chance. The location (amazing), the amenities (fabulous) and the unit I stayed in were pure perfection. . . this partnership had my mind on full speed on what I was looking for next, what I could afford, and the number of changes that were to happen by mid August.
HOME is really important to me. It is where my kids and I spend a ton of time, it’s where I work, but overall, it’s a feeling like I belong there. This whole year has been a roller coaster ride, at times a very emotional one. I’ve looked at probably over ten properties and once I walk in, it’s pretty immediate on whether or not I can see myself living there.
I took a tour of this beautiful space and as you can see from the photos, no detail was untouched. The lobby had these fantastic velvet chairs, the doorman service is great for security (and so friendly)! I loved the warm feeling of the lobby and I immediately felt comfortable.
The unit I stayed in was impeccably furnished with the BEST VIEW OF THE CITY! I was welcomed in the kitchen immediately with some yummy champagne and yes, I opened it up right away :).
Staying at this gorgeous property made me think about what I was searching for. Open spaces, white/neutral colors, open kitchen, larger living room, and decent sized bedrooms, and amenities if possible. All for a certain budget of course :).
This kitchen is inviting, big, and I loved that it faced the living room space where my kids and I would spend the most time together. My current home has an open kitchen that is next to our family room and I love being able to watch them while I cook or just keep an eye on them at all times. Open spaces are great for events, but can also feel intimate at the same time. Don’t you notice at every house party, most people end up in the kitchen? Open spaces and an inviting kitchen is essential for me and my family.
Other things I love is lots of light and because I work from home and take photos inside I need great exposures. Great natural light is on top of my list and the units in Two West Delaware have them.
A excellent bed is EVERYTHING (with white sheets I love :). These bedrooms were a nice size with views. A larger dresser, chair fit in each room and the walk in closet was fantastic! Blackout shades that were controlled by remote were also big pluses.
Things I’m worried about in general reviewing apartments? My budget, my furniture fitting (moving from a 5 bedroom to 2-3 bedroom) and making sure my kids transition well. Location is extremely important and whether or not we are close to a park.
Two West Delaware has the BEST location for great dining, shopping, and there’s a park for the kids nearby! And as you can see from my photos, the units here are amazing.
The amenities were just as spectacular as the units. This is the kitchen that residents can use for parties and right besides it is a long dining table. Other amenities available: gym, massage room, and a large pool that my kids would LOVE!
Two West Delaware is a fantastic property with 1-5 bedroom units. I highly recommend it to any of you looking for the perfect high rise apartment. I’m currently still waiting to make sure everything is ok with my home closing, but this is on the very top of my list. My stay was wonderful and checked off so many things I wanted.
I’ve been asked why I chose to move to a condo rather than another house and the decision was based on ease. It is hard to take care of a large home as a single woman/mom and with my schedule, the little things add up. For the next year, it would be nice to have a safe environment to be with my kids and to not worry about the extra expenses that come with a big home.
It is a difficult journey to think of moving out of my dream home to my next step. It is scary and emotional, but also the start of closing one chapter and beginning of another. A lot of stress and worry go through my mind these days and I have many sleepless nights. I’m trying hard to take it step by step, appreciate every good day, and take the bad days as they come. Thank YOU guys for your continued support and I wouldn’t be able to do this without you.
Today I jet off on a AWESOME opportunity, keep up with me on instagram and you’ll see the exciting news.
Thank you to Two West Delaware for the wonderful stay and I hope I’ll be living there soon. All to be finalized soon, stay tuned.
