There’s one thing we all know too well these days, it is being “busy” and wanting to balance looking good but trying to do it in the shortest amount of time possible. One BIG tip from me, is using a fantastic dry shampoo to get me from looking like oily bedhead to fabulous locks in no time. AND I use it to get ready for date night, (you can use it at work right before happy hour), and at times when I do yoga and need to head into a meeting.
I was introduced to Pantene’s Waterless Collection and fell in love with two products. The Pantene Cheat Day Dry Shampoo Foam (absolutely love) and the Pantene Mist Behaving Dry Conditioning Spray. Not only has it helped extend the lifeline of my hair between washes, but the smell of this product is AMAZING!
From high school to now, I’ve been a big fan of Pantene, the distinct smell, my hair feeling glossy and fabulous, and now for this collection that makes my day to day life so easy while keeping me looking put together. Hair is one of those things I don’t like to mess up, I’ve been going to the same hairstylist for 8 years, and I try to find things that help me make my hair long-lasting and done without too much time.
So I had never used foam before and when I was introduced to the Cheat Day Dry Shampoo Foam I was hoping I would find it easy and not only was it EASY but my hair felt refreshed and clean! That is unlike others I’ve used that made my hair feel dry, a little rough and somewhat with some white residue (since my hair is dark up top). It is a sulfate-free, non-drying foam that softens and cleanses for a quick reset! Shake well, dispense a small amount of foam and put onto your fingertips and apply to your roots and rub in.
The Pantene Mist Behaving Dry Conditioning Mist is also a lifesaver. Leave in conditioner and a styling spray in one, I also mist this on my ends in between washes for a quick retouch. I spray this 6-8 inches away from my hair (not on the roots) and smooth out my hair for a clean finish.
My top 5 tips in having luxe locks with Pantene:
{1} Spray and apply strategically. The correct application will make your hair look and last longer. I loved that the foam was easy to use and didn’t leave a residue on my roots. The conditioning mist made my hair feel good and helped me finish styling it. The best bet if you have 5 extra minutes, section your hair and apply the foam in parts. Start with a small amount of application.
{2} Try using the Dry Shampoo Foam at night! I read this online and it works – so in the morning, you just have to finish with styling. Such a good tip right? I have mentioned before too, when you do wash your hair, do it at night as well! Saves time in the morning, especially when you have kids. I tend to be running around in the morning making breakfast, packing lunch and getting them dressed. Doing stuff before bed is a game-changer.
{3} Use the right products for your hair type. While at the store you can google the product you are looking at to check. I have thick and colored hair so Pantene’s Cheat Day Dry Shampoo Foam and Mist Behaving Dry Conditioning Mist is a great fit (also works for Curly/Wavy Hair). For Finer Hair, the Never Tell Dry Shampoo Spray is better! Always make sure you are using the right products for your hair type.
{4} Patience. So I don’t have a ton of it (LOL) but after applying any product giving it a minute does help guide you on how much more to put on. We want the dry shampoo to make our schedules easier, but we also don’t want to put too much product on and oversaturate or make something look worse. I like to start putting my face on :), gives me a minute.
{5} No need to apply every day! Go for four to five days without washing (which is actually great for hair), but don’t apply too much every day. I’m sure like me, the next day is fine, sometimes after washing and I curl my hair the next day curl looks fantastic. I typically use it the third day and it helps it last to 4-5 days.
Ladies, moms, single or married, we all need great hair days and invest in your hair, it is the crown you never take off :). Hope you loved my tips to make your dry shampoo lasts longer!
