Happy 2020! Since this is the first full week back to reality after all of the holidays, I wanted to share some inspiration for the new year. I am not sharing my list of New Years Resolutions, but instead, I am sharing a few quotes that I will be living my life by for 2020. I love reading quotes and making sure daily, I’m showing gratitude and looking forward to new things.
I LOVE this quote and I learned this a few years ago. I still struggle from time to time, giving away too much attention to things that shouldn’t, but this quote is something I always go back to. When your attention is no longer on a person, situation, or failure, you are able to move on and focus on the good.
If you have been following me for a while, you know that this is my mantra. Love myself and things will come! The last few years have been a f0cus on “me”. What brings me joy, what do I need, and what do I give. The happier I am with myself, the better everything is. I’m a better mom, sister, friend and hopefully eventually partner to someone.
Yes and Yes to this! We are in control of our own destiny, make choices, take opportunities and seize it all. Of course, everyone has struggles that throw you for a loop. I’ve learned that I had two choices, to sit there and dwell on the problems or to take a moment, be upset, and then figure out, how do I change this path, how do I make sure this doesn’t happen again, and what’s the “good” that came from it! This has enabled me to get past big issues.
I saw this somewhere and loved the quote. I believe in this for 2020!
This is a strong quote and one I have experienced in my life. I found the best women in my life are those happiest with themselves. Friends that have entered and left my life are those that weren’t supportive and it took me months/years to realize sometimes it wasn’t about me. Friends shouldn’t be competitive, friends shouldn’t one-up you, friends shouldn’t only reach out when they need something and my type of friend sees what I give and gives the same. My circle went from a ton to maybe 5 I trust, but those I love, know who they are and I would do anything for them.
I hope these quotes inspire you throughout this year as well and I’ll be sharing another “resolution” type of post soon. The holidays and catching up have me behind on schedule for blog posts!
