I want to demystify the words of “all-inclusive” as I hear and read a lot of things about these words that do not come close to what Grand Velas Los Cabos (or in general the Grand Velas resorts) are. There is a reason it is named a Luxury All-Inclusive and why I would highly recommend any of their locations to everyone. For those not in the know, all-inclusive rates cover all a la carte meals, buffets, most wine, and top-shelf liquor.
I could go on and on about all the things I love but three things absolutely TOP this trip.
#1) Gorgeous aesthetics and architecture of this resort. The bougainvilleas are on every balcony and it’s just beautiful from every view. If you were following my Instagram and my stories, there just isn’t a bad view in sight. I love interior design and how resorts feel and this one just feels luxurious. All my photos taken were on the resort property. Every turn was picture perfect. The balcony bougainvilleas is a signature design of the Grand Velas resorts and seen all over the property.
The three pools have a direct view of the ocean. There isn’t a bad chair on-site to sit in!
#2 THE FOOD AND DRINKS are OUSTANDING. With 7 restaurants, the food here is top of the line and includes a 2 Michelin Star Restaurant Concina de Autor. A 2 Michelin Star Restaurant that is INCLUDED with the stay never happens. I can’t reiterate enough how delicious and fresh the food is and the drinks are what you would get at a 5-star resort.
One of my favorite spots was the ceviche restaurant that served lunch. Two pages of ceviches fresh and yummy. We ordered 5 kinds alone on the first day! I had ceviche every day of the trip.
The poolside food was the best pool menu I’ve ever had. The shrimp tacos and the hot dog (yes, this gourmet dog) was amazing. The food was all included with the stay and I do have to say I gained back the 5 lbs I lost to go on this trip. I couldn’t stop eating.
How gorgeous is the property right?
#3 SERVICE . You get a butler with the room in whom you can WhatsApp during the trip for whatever is needed. Room service is 24 hours and on the same level of the food as all the restaurants, the room is stocked with everything needed and there isn’t a time where someone isn’t available to help.
I forgot to mention there is the cutest cafe near the lobby with a view of the ocean and pools and it serves coffee, desserts, and treats all day. We stopped in daily! And when we first checked in, we got two glasses of champagne, a back massage, and check-in with our schedule on this beautiful lobby deck (where the café is located).
They have kids and teen club and a kids pool!
I felt a great sense of calm as it isn’t a party hotel and it was exactly what I needed after the rough week with my dog.
Full gym and weights with a view.
Many units have private plunge pools and a separate living room and bedroom.
They have three pools (one is adult one) and the beach isn’t safe for swimming (but most of Cabo is this way), so if you are a pool person like me, this resort is great.
The award-winning spa is something you have to visit. I got a 50-minute massage that eased my back.
From Chicago it is a 4-5 hour direct flight, I love Cabo as it feels like southern California and very different from Cancun, Riviera Maya. Cabo has a lot of luxury resorts and this one tops as the best all-inclusive you can get. If these pictures don’t change your mind about all-inclusive, I dare you to try a Grand Velas Resort. Check out more about this property here. (specials currently, kids can travel and stay for free).
