Gratitude is the driving source of my attitude this year. As I sit in my nice, clean, home (I cleaned for hours) waiting for a few close friends, I’m so grateful for my beautiful home, the opportunities that knock on my door, and that after a difficult divorce, I’m in my very own home. I purchased my condo in October and didn’t make a huge announcement. I transitioned in and started to make it my own.
My home feels like me, as you walk into it, you know it’s me. From the pattern mixing to the gold accents, and leopard print, it is my personality in terms of furniture and decor. And being at home FEELS AMAZING. I wanted to throw a little gathering house warming a while back and finally felt a bit more comfortable last week to do so with a handful of friends. The details were so cute and hopefully inspire you to do a little something for yourself!
As with everyone, I’ve had my fair share of struggles and quarantine has definitely brought to light that I’m very LUCKY. I’ve been able to transition my work from just-style to interior ideas, I’m spending a ton of time with my kids that I would never have before, and the friendships I cherish are now even tighter. Those that were probably not as important in my life became clear to me in the last few months. I sit here just happy and grateful.
The few friends that came over were those that made sure I was doing ok and vice versa. We checked up on each other to make sure if we needed anything we were there. These aren’t all the people that I love and those of you know who you are, I’m grateful to you too.
I’ve had my fair share of breakups and the last one was the roughest. My friends are my emotional rock and in some ways, I cherish them more than any man in my life. To me, they are always there. Covid has made it really hard as I love seeing my friends. This small gathering was an open house for a special get together as I wanted to celebrate them and thank them for being a part of my life.

Here’s Hannah, who always shoots my beautiful content!
I’ve worked really hard on my home this year since moving in last October. It has been a big focus to style it and make it an amazing place for me and my kids. The patio was one of my projects that I started in March when quarantine first happened and I’m so glad I did as I spend a lot of time outside. Being home hasn’t felt so good and my kids love it too.
These days I start and end my days with thoughts of gratitude and this has really enabled me to enjoy 2020 despite the challenges. So much good has happened to me and I’m grateful. I have the best people in my life right now!
The challenges of work still continue but I know so many of you are in the same boat. Let’s support each other and I’ll continue to share small businesses on my platform and cross my fingers we can all get together safely in the future. Although the future is unknown, I’m always looking forward to what’s to come.
Thank you to Social Sparkling Wine for sponsoring the event and the other party vendors for gifting items to make my patio beautiful!
