The BodyHoliday in St Lucia: Escape for Mind, Body, and Soul

Imagine a place where turquoise waters and white sand beaches surround you while you focus on your health, wellness, rejuvenation, and self-care.  All this is woven into your vacation to leave you feeling relaxed, healthy, and wanting to come back.  The BodyHoliday in St Lucia is an all-inclusive resort that is the ultimate destination for relaxation, wellness, and adventure. While many hotels on the island may offer luxurious amenities and beautiful beaches, BodyHoliday takes a more holistic approach to hospitality. Guests of this resort are treated to an all-inclusive experience that combines fitness, nutrition, mindfulness, and relaxation. A notable that made me say yes immediately is the INCLUDED daily spa treatment (all-inclusive), this special amenity is something that brings everyone back to the resort.

Food

Let’s start with the food. The BodyHoliday offers a variety of cuisine options, from fresh seafood to gourmet international dishes. The resort’s mission is to provide healthy and nutritious meals, which they deliver with style and flavor. Guests can choose from several restaurants on-site, each with its own unique menu.

There are 6 restaurants on the property with my absolute two favorites being Cariblue Windows and Tao. I made reservations nightly a week before we arrived just to guarantee we would have a seat. I was absolutely delighted that the food AND alcohol were fantastic. I’ve stayed at many many all-inclusive hotels and the alcohol selection is usually not my favorite and the food (depending on the price/luxury level) can be spotty. For the price of the hotel per night, the perks, the menus, and the alcohol selection, the BodyHoliday was EXCELLENT.

But a vacation is not just about the food; it’s also about the activities. At the BodyHoliday, visitors have an endless list of options to choose from. From yoga classes to kayaking to beach sports, there is something for everyone. Guests can also indulge in spa treatments, with massages and facials that will leave them feeling rejuvenated.

Two tours we did that I highly recommend:

I-Tal Experience – Farm to Table Lunch or Dinner

The I-TAL experience begins with a guided walk where the gardeners lead you to explore our slopping hillside oasis. The organic garden is a polyculture of diverse local and exotic edible plants and fruit trees. We learned about some of the wonderful benefits of the crops, that that were then prepared at the Ital Restaurant. It’s a vegan meal that was nourishing and beautiful. Our guide and host had amazing knowledge of the plants and their energy was contagious. The below are just a few of the dishes served to us. So fresh, beautiful, and delicious. Finally, let’s talk about the destination itself. St Lucia is known for its stunning natural beauty, from the iconic Pitons to the lush rainforests. The BodyHoliday is nestled in this enchanting landscape, offering breathtaking views and a true escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. A notable of the location is that it is about 1.5 hours away from the airport. The ride is scenic however be prepared when leaving the resort to give yourself enough time to get back.

The second tour we took gave us an overview of the island and brought us to one of the must-dos on the island. Sulphur Springs mud bath, waterfall, and lunch tour. It was a bit over half a day and we left the hotel at 9am and arrived back at the hotel around 4pm. If you’ve never been to St. Lucia – you must do this!
